We’re pleased to announce the very first Lineage II Comic Contest! Turn your Lineage II adventures and follies into an entertaining comic for your chance to win some fantastic prizes. Are your drawing skills limited to stick figures? No problem! We’ll be accepting Lineage II comics featuring every medium, from hand-drawn to computer graphics to in-game screen-shots, and even photos! Remember that the comic should be fun to read, first and foremost. Enter your best creation for your chance to win rare Lineage II items, such as a beautiful Lineage II dark elf statue, and a Lineage II Aneda art book that includes gorgeous concept art of the Kamael!
You can use the following to create your own unique Lineage II Comic:
Logos and images from the official Lineage II Adena web site and fan site kit
In-game Lineage II images that you capture yourself
Your own original work or photos
The winners will be broken up into the following two categories: entries created using drawing, painting, or computer graphics, and entries created using in-game Lineage II screen-shots or real-life photos. One first place winner and one runner-up winner will be chosen for each category, resulting in a total of four (4) winners.
Submission Guidelines
One comic entry ONLY per person will be accepted. Please make sure the file format is RGB jpgs (non-.jpg formats will not be considered). The size of the entry does not matter.
All submissions will be judged on creativity, originality, and overall presentation.
Copyrighted Materials
PLEASE NOTE: Lineage II images are available for your use. However, you may NOT use any materials that you do not own the rights to for the purposes of this contest. Likewise, taking an image from something that you do not own and altering it slightly then presenting it as your own work is strictly prohibited. You must have ownership rights to every element included in the entry you submit. You must make sure your entry doesn’t infringe on any patent, copyright, trademark or other intellectual property right, or any privacy, publicity or publishing rights of any third party, or is not libelous, obscene or otherwise contrary to law.
In addition to the prizes below, the Lineage II Comics of the two first-place winners and two runner-up winners will be displayed on the official Lineage II web site for all to enjoy!
You must be 13 years of age or older to participate and a legal resident of the United States (excluding the State of Rhode Island, and excluding Guam, Puerto Rico, U.S. territories, military installations and commonwealths), Canada (excluding Quebec) (Canadian residents will be required to answer an additional mathematical question in order to claim their prizes), Russia, or the European Union. Due to legal requirements, European contestants must be 18 year of age or older as of that date, or must have a parent or guardian enter in the minor"s name. You must be a current Lineage® II subscriber (meaning you must have an active account) with Internet access, an e-mail account, and access to a personal computer as of Friday, September 14, 2007 to participate in this contest.
