Guild Wars Ectos

 This derived system of trading proved very useful in the trading of very rare (and thus very expensive) weapons or minipets.
Guild Wars Ectos are highly valued pieces of material, due to their rarity, and to the fact that they are used, along with Obsidian Shards, to craft Obsidian armor. Usually they are used as substitute currency for transactions exceeding 100K Guild Wars Gold. Since a player can only hold a maximum of 100K at any one time, they have become a sort of additional currency, to facilitate trades or transfers of over 100K. For example, something worths 100k + 20e, it would be worth 100 plus 20 Guild Wars Ectos.
